This popular API connection is great for 'email to SMS' messaging needs and is used primarily for notification alerts. It
is particularly suited to systems that already have an email messaging system in place. The SMTP API is the best connection for
developers working on legacy servers and it supports most of the functionality of the HTTP API version 2.3.0 including
8-bit messaging and templating. Our SMTP API connection does not allow two-way SMS text messaging but you can make use of our
other applications such as HTTP, FTP or SMPP to receive incoming messages.
