If you need to facilitate once off, bulk text message dispatches, the FTP SMS Gateway API connection is ideal and offers very fast delivery. This
mobile message-enabling application is particularly excellent for batch processing from legacy systems where customers build up a text file based on existing
databases. The text file is then uploaded to Clickatell's FTP site for immediate sending.
Why developers choose Clickatell's FTP API Connection to mobile message-enable their applications:
The FTP SMS Gateway API connection is fast and secure:
Clickatell offers SSL encryption for both inbound and outbound text messages with the FTP API connection. Sending
bulk text messages is fast with this application as you just need to upload from the Clickatell FTP server and your
mobile messages are sent instantly.
With the Clickatell FTP API, it is also possible to set up priority queues (3 of them) for
delivery of text messages. And Clickatell allows you to delay message sending for up to 7 days at a time.
If for some reason there is delay in delivery, the FTP connection will automatically escalate text
messages, after a client specified time, to an alternative delivery gateway. Clickatell delivers mobile
text messages through more than 819 operators to over 222 countries.
With the Clickatell FTP API, there is automatic recording of text message delivery status in the history log file in your FTP folder.
